Kaylin`s Restaurant in Bessemer

Daddy wanted dressing. No dressing today but they had oxtails. His appetite is funny on some days but not today. He cleaned his plate of oxtails, mac & cheese, candied yams and cornbread. For $17 and some change I'm just happy he didn't waste my money. Staff was friendly.

Food is pretty good. The dressing, fried wings and hamburger patties are my favorite. The Macaroni and cheese is always dry and tasteless, even when it's a fresh pan. I hate that because I love macaroni. I saw a few dead bugs inside the light panel in the ceiling over the cashier's area. It kind of grossed me out. I've never actually seen any bugs crawling inside the place. Otherwise, I would have left my food right there on the counter.

We met with friends at this place for lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. the staff were so friendly and we felt very good. The meal was delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

I eat lunch here sometimes the food is usually great and they change their menu daily and you usually get in and out quick.Some may find the prices steep for the amount of food but it’s in line with other meat and vegetables/soul food places in the area. I recommend this place for lunch 👍

We randomly walked in today, not knowing what to expect. The waitress was extremely sweet and helpful, the food, served on a buffet line was awesome, better than mom used to make, with the atmosphere of a cozy, family owned small town diner. We will be going back!

As always the food was delicious!!! You're missing out on some good soul food if you've never been.

OMG this food is some of the more consistently delicious soul food in Bessemer or Birmingham. This plate is some of the best of everything pictured that I've ever tasted. The food is hot which is important to me. Staff is always professional. And the place is always clean.

Delicious food and friendly atmosphere

I got the porkchop and corn and green beans,,,Everything taste good but my corn wasn't warm enough ,I ate it anyway but 1 porkchop wasn't enough.....I ended up eating half of my womans plate too get full...

The food was ok..but your server's was very rude... they seem as if they didn't want to be at work I asked them do they have any more mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese in the back since they both without the guy told me no one minute later I owe the guy came out the back with a pan of mashed potatoes and a pan of macaroni and cheese and I'm looking like I just paid for some food that I didn't want..that was first time coming since i moved in area...mite be last.but food was 👌
